Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard Review
This article will take a brief look at the Logitech G510 gaming keyboard with the purpose of providing a quick overview to any gamer who is considering renewing or upgrading there old keyboard.
The most obvious feature of the G510 is the display screen which also appears on Logitech's the top of range model the G19, this screen gives real time gaming statistics, system data as well as Voip communications, instant messaging, Tweets and video playback.
The G510 has eighteen of Logitech's programmable G keys with each of these keys having up to three macros available per key giving a total of fifty four combinations, and these can be recorded using single or complex keystokes.
As with any unfamiliar device, setting the macros, and using the keys to their full potential will take a little time to master but once this is achieved it is likely to improve a players ability, the straightforward key layout should help you do this however.
Up to five keys can be pressed at one time and all the signals will register allowing for increased playing power and user performance.
This model also combines a backlit display with a choice of various colors availaable to the user.
The G510 has a fast twin USB ports which will further aid performance, together with separate sockets for headphones and microphones.
This keyboard has a conventional layout and includes single touch controls for the playing of media or volume adjustment.
Once again this model comes with the pc/game mode switch to stop any erroneous key presses during a game,
The G510 will work with most Windows operating systems and also supports Mac OSX, a software installation disc is included with the unit along with a palm rest and a 2 year makers guarantee.
This model is not that cheap compared to some, but it has excellent build quality and it should last the avid gamer a long time.
