The Crane Stand: Creating Healthier Workspaces
Seattle, WA—Seattle resident Jessica Shannon says her laptop has become a real pain in her neck—literally. "I've been working on my laptop for years, but it's only been recently that I've been experiencing pain in my neck and shoulders and loss of feeling in my hands after long periods of use." And Shannon's not alone.

Seattle businessman Garett Fitzpatrick thinks he has a solution to the country's royal pain in the neck. According to Fitzpatrick, more than 9,200 workers reported missing a day or more of work because of typing and keyboarding-related injuries in the last year. And its not just adults who are experiencing problems either. The laptop has almost become required for college students today. Today's college students spend as much as 8 hours a day hunched over a laptop in lecture halls and libraries. What's more, children as young as 12 have been diagnosed with nerve damage caused by slouching over screens.
The Crane Stand's unique design makes it the best laptop stand for reducing health problems related to laptop use.
